Achieving happy, thriving children through child-led, and family-centered occupational therapy, play, and collaborative support services.
Fun & engaging therapy for ALL children!
Hello!
Quiana Long
Owning/Founding Occupational Therapist
Quiana likes to think of herself as #thereallifeOT because she has been on both sides of the table- as the professional and as the parent/carer. Professionally, Quiana is a highly-skilled occupational therapist who still has the same drive and passion for occupational therapy that she did when she graduated from Spalding University over a decade ago. She has dedicated the majority of her career to helping children and their families/support circles, from all walks of life, to achieve a sense of accomplishment, happiness, and lasting quality of life. She has worked with children living with various diagnoses and challenges and strives to support the whole child with her specialized training and knowledge. Quiana is known to be a personable, engaging, and compassionate practitioner who believes that "it takes a village" to help nurture a child and with this belief, Quiana understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, caregiver involvement, and the family unit.

Personally, Quiana knows first-hand what it's like to have a child (and even a parent) that requires additional support. Raising a child with a heart condition that resulted in various additional diagnoses (e.g. Developmental Delay, vision problems, and Failure to Thrive to name a few) and caring for her mother who lost her battle to Multiple Sclerosis in 2013, has certainly presented its challenges and humbling experiences. But these life experiences have ultimately molded Quiana into the dynamic practitioner that she is today. Because of these adversities, Quiana can approach each child and their family with an additional layer of understanding.

Quiana completed her Sensory Integration training through the University of Southern California Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. She is also trained in the use of:
- Vital Links' Therapeutic Listening
- Learning Without Tears (formerly Handwriting Without Tears)
- Interactive Metronome
- Pediatric Yoga
- sensory diets,
- social stories
- visual schedules
She is also a licensed Zumbini instructor! She holds an NBCOT Pediatrics Practice Area Emphasis badge, NBCOT Certification, and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapist (RCOT). She is currently practicing/servicing children and families in the state of Kentucky.

When Quiana isn't busy helping children and families achieve HAPPINESS through occupational therapy and ZUMBINI, organizing spaces, planning fun activities, or blogging- she enjoys family time with her son, Ace.
