* Occupational Therapy Consultation
An up to an hour service that allows problem-solving, observing, and/or collaboration between parent/caregiver, child, and the therapist. The parent/carer will be able to share noted concerns, observations, and/or previous documentation to allow the therapist to provide individualized therapeutic recommendations.
* General Occupational Therapy Evaluation w/ Report
A 1-2 hour service that allows the therapist to use standardized and informal methods to investigate a child's occupational performance/referring concern(s). With this service, a report is included which provides a detailed written discussion of findings and recommendations. The report will be available within 2 weeks from the date of the evaluation and a parent meeting is included to discuss the findings.
* Occupational Therapy Re-Assessment w/ Report
A 1 to 1.5-hour service option for children who have had a recent assessment (no more than a year from the date of service). During a reassessment, the therapist will use standardized and informal methods to investigate a child's occupational performance/referring concern(s). With this service, a report is provided within 2 weeks and will include a detailed discussion of findings and recommendations. A parent meeting to discuss the findings is also provided with this service.
* Handwriting Assessment w/ Report
This service can be up to an hour. During this time, the therapist will use standardized methods and/or clinical observations to investigate a child's handwriting performance. This service also applies to children who need support with typing/keyboarding.
* Sensory Characteristics Assessment
This service can be up to an hour. During this time, the therapist will use standardized methods and clinical observations to investigate a child's sensory processing performance and/or parent/carer referring concern(s). With this service, a short report is included.
* OT-Specific Write-Ups & Resources
This service is for existing families and varies based on the child's need and/or parent/carer request. Some examples of OT-specific write-ups include individualized sensory diets, social stories, visual schedules, and therapy programs.
* Support Letters
This service is for existing families and varies based on the parent/carer request. Some examples of support letters/notices may include a letter of medical necessity within occupational therapy scope of practice, letter to a school/nursery, letter to a housing authority/agency, letter to other support professional, etc.
* Collaborative Meetings/Consultations
This service allows for detailed collaboration/liaising between therapists and other professionals (e.g. teacher, employer, tutor, other healthcare providers) per parent/caregiver request. Such consultations typically last an average duration of 30 minutes.
* Follow Up Sessions
Follow-up sessions are performed based on the therapist's recommendation based on the child's individualized treatment plan to optimize continuity and progress/potential.
Happy Spaces: Room Modification Packages

Happy Spaces General Information
The Happy Space service allows the therapist to observe and assess a room, space, and/or environment to determine any potential safety hazards, sensory barriers, and/or indications that may be impeding on their child's learning, daily routines, and/or overall independence. This service may also be for a parent/carer/educator who is interested in designing a sensory room/space for their child. A list and all recommendations will be provided upon completion.
* Package A
Package A includes a 60-minute consultation consisting of a viewing/observation of the space needing modification followed by verbal recommendations and a follow-up call within 2 weeks.
* Package B
Package B includes a 60-minute consultation consisting of a viewing/observation of the space needing modification followed by written recommendations provided within 24 hours, and a follow-up call within 2 weeks.
* Package C
Package C includes a 60-minute consultation consisting of a viewing/observation of the space needing modification followed by a detailed layout/diagram and written recommendations, provided within a week's time. A follow-up call will be offered within 2 weeks of receiving the provided recommendations.
* Preliminary Chat

* 30 Minute Coaching Session
A confidence-building session through conversation in which parents are given tools and strategies to help nurture their child and any challenges that may be impacting their overall development.
* 60 Minute Coaching Session
An interactive, confidence-building session that involves engaging, playful, and/or meaningful tools and strategies to help parents nurture their child and any challenges that may be compromising their overall development

Services with any therapy require consistency in order to ensure optimal benefit and progress. However, Bright Skies Therapy & Consulting understands that life happens! Missing a session or two of course isn't detrimental, so all families/clients are allowed ONE No Call-No Show without incurring a fee. Beyond this, cancellations that do not occur 24 hours prior to the start of the scheduled session will be charged a cancellation fee. Last-minute cancellations on the basis of emergencies will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Although Bright Skies doesn't currently accept insurance, families/clients will always be provided with an invoice/superbill at the end of each month. With the provided invoice, families/clients can then submit the document to their insurance for reimbursement, per their policy coverage and plan. Please review your Explanation of Benefits for more detailed information or alternatively, contact your insurance company prior to any provided service to obtain prior authorization and/or to ensure reimbursement is available.
Bright Skies Therapy & Consulting ask that payment for any scheduled service/session be made within 7 days of receipt of your invoice/statement and/or on the day of service, preferably at the end of the said session. Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, or via our online payment system. Payment via credit card and/or our online payment system may accrue additional fees.
